Where your attention goes your energy flows … Join Maria Whittaker (KPJAYI Authorized) in this special workshop on of one of the important elements of Trishtana, Drishti. Learn how having the correct gazing point in your Ashtanga practice can deepen your connection with your breath and within each asana. Feel free to bring a notebook to take notes along the way. Please bring your yoga mat as a practice component is included as we apply the principles learned.

About the teacher: Maria Whittaker is KPJAYI Authorized and has been teaching Mysore-style at Ashtanga Yoga Vancouver since 2014. She continually travels to Mysore, India and studies directly under the guidance of Sharath Jois (Director) at the Sri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Institute. She is a devoted student of Fiona Stang and learns everyday from her students and the surrounding community. Maria is passionate about the healing and therapeutic aspects of the practice and the study of Ayurveda. Off the mat, she enjoys being in nature and being outdoors with her family. She draws inspiration from her teachers and is dedicated to sharing knowledge to those around her.
