Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga Courses

Looking to learn ashtanga yoga? The starting point is our video course you can purchase and move through at your own pace. This course will prepare you to attend our weekday Mysore classes in person or virtually.

All details are here. Move at your own pace as you learn the foundation of Ashtanga yoga.

Our Introductory introduces students to the basic ashtanga principles and foundations. You are guided, step-by-step, in a clear manner the essentials of ashtanga yoga, breath, Mulabandha, Surya namaskara, the first five standing postures, closing and rest. This course is suitable for the absolute beginner, those making the transition from other yoga disciplines, or more experienced practitioners willing to go back to the basics to shift practice habits and patterns. After you have memorized the order of the postures in the course, you are ready for our Mysore style classes.



On-going Workshops

Ashtanga Yoga Vancouver offers on-going workshops throughout the year. These workshops are great for practitioners who want to dive deeper into their practice.

Prices, dates, and times are posted in the individual workshop listing. Prices may vary for the different workshops. Sign up early to avoid disappointment. Workshops are limited in size to ensure individualized attention.
